Here are the tests with google chrome on windows with the same machine. Lots of microstuttering once things fall below 60fps.

Low static load (no microstuttering):

Rising load coming from faster than 60fps (no microstuttering) and degrading to 30fps and worse (bad microstuttering all the way).
