Was the conclusion here that RGB32F will be entirely removed from the extension, rather than made optional? That will break some content that's already out there, though not terribly much of it. I can make a pull request to change the spec, once you confirm the intention.


About the tests - as long as fulfilling the commitment to write the tests does not take terribly long, I agree that's enough for moving the extension forward.

Also, IIRC, there's no Float16Array yet, so we're stuck with Uint16Array.
