One thing that could help is if it only gathered info when WebGL is activated elsewhere on the page.
One reason people use adblockers is to improve performance, since the browser doesn't bother with superfluous ads. To this end, creating a webgl context just to gather info does require sometimes-non-trivial processing power. (generally on mobile)

This would naturally reduce the breadth of the data, though.

figure out if and how to continue. Please direct your thanks to adblock
plus and "fanboy" who is sole maintainer of blocklist for most ad blockers.
Also let me know of any way to you can think of to provide better WebGL
Stats, because WebGL developers need it.
