Agree.

Any such a discussion are possible for any kind of API. Of cousre C++ is faster the JS, no doubt.
Personally, I have never seed any performance issues with matrix operations in our application.
We use hierarchical scene graph and custom 3x4 Affine transformation, which is being converted to 16-float native array buffer and very end of the pipeline.
Also we use collision and ray tracing.


Should we discuss a native API for collision and rays as well ?
What about physics native API ?
What about other Math common computations ? Quaternions ?
Should we talk about each library API  ?

The solutions like asm-js are generic approach to significantly speed up any performance sensitive situations.
