[Public WebGL] Emscripten now able to port a whole OpenGL FPS game to WebGL

This link may be of interest,


as it demonstrates the viability of WebGL as a target for porting existing C++/OpenGL applications.

Kudos to the Emscripten team --- to achieve that, Emscripten was extended to convert OpenGL calls to WebGL; in addition to the OpenGL ES 2.0 subset, this also includes partial support for OpenGL 1 calls.

Note that all of this is open source so this could benefit anyone interesting in porting games to WebGL.
