Silverlight 5 requires the user to explicitly grant each domain permission to use the 3D features.
Right, so why do they bother adding 3D capabilities that nobody can seriously use since no user's gonna be patient enough to enable it? Hm, well, it's a pretty effective way of preventing anyone from writing a WebGL wrapper that targets silverlight. So in order to hurt WebGL, they shoot their left and right knee off. Sounds reasonable.
