I'm also interested in how extensions work in WebGL.  It's not a huge deal for extensions that only use constants, but I don't know how / if we can get function pointers for others.

I'm thinking that writing a vector math library as an extension might be a subtle place for me to start. If someone knows of such an extension which is O/S maybe they could point me at it.
