The Khronos Group - Media Authoring and Acceleration

The Khronos Group is a not for profit industry consortium creating open standards for the authoring and acceleration of parallel computing, graphics and dynamic media on a wide variety of platforms and devices. All Khronos members are able to contribute to the development of Khronos API specifications, are empowered to vote at various stages before public deployment, and are able to accelerate the delivery of their cutting-edge 3D platforms and applications through early access to specification drafts and conformance tests.

Noreke, Erik - Chair of OpenSL ES Working Group, Independent

Erik is an Independent Standardization Specialist who consults with companies to assist them in developing, improving and incorporating technology standards. He has been heavily involved in technology analysis, specializing in API design, usability and applicability for more than 15 years. His experience ranges from large-scale, disjoint distributed computing systems to embedded systems for mobile handsets. After eleven years in the defense sector, he was an integral part of the API design team at Ericsson® Mobile Platforms, now part of ST-Ericsson®, doing strategic planning and analysis of both proprietary and standardized API solutions. He has also been a key consultant to SRS Labs, Inc. on the standardization process for OpenSL ES. Return to speaker page
