The Khronos Group - Media Authoring and Acceleration

The Khronos Group is a not for profit industry consortium creating open standards for the authoring and acceleration of parallel computing, graphics and dynamic media on a wide variety of platforms and devices. All Khronos members are able to contribute to the development of Khronos API specifications, are empowered to vote at various stages before public deployment, and are able to accelerate the delivery of their cutting-edge 3D platforms and applications through early access to specification drafts and conformance tests.

Lichtenbelt, Barthold - Director of Tegra graphics, OpenGL ARB Working Group Chair, NVIDIA

Barthold Lichtenbelt received an MSEE from the University of Twente, The Netherlands, in 1994. He has worked for HP, Dynamic Pictures and 3Dlabs where he has been involved in various aspects of OpenGL, computer graphics and driver development. He joined NVIDIA in 2005, where he currently holds the position of Director of Tegra graphics. Barthold is also the chair of the Khronos OpenGL ARB Working Group and has been involved in enhancing OpenGL since version 1.3. Barthold is a co-author of the book “Introduction to Volume Rendering”, and a contributor to the book “OpenGL Shading Language”. Return to speaker page
