OpenVX Adoption and Conformance Testing
Any company may freely use the publicly released OpenVX specification to create a product, but implementations of the OpenVX API must be tested for conformance in the Khronos OpenVX Adopters program before the OpenVX name or logo may be used in association with an implementation of the API.
Implementers may join the Khronos OpenVX Adopters Program which enables them to download and execute the OpenVX conformance tests and upload the results for peer review within Khronos. If the implementation successfully passes the tests, the Adopter is granted a royalty-free trademark license to use the OpenVX name and logo in association with that implementation - and they can refer to the implementation as being OpenVX conformant or OpenVX compliant.
Benefits of the OpenVX Adopters program:
- Access to the OpenVX 1.0 conformance test source code
- Participation in the OpenVX Adopters technical Mailing list - a private priority channel for two-way interaction with the OpenVX working group over the specification and conformance tests
- For products that successfully pass the conformance tests, use of the OpenVX logo in printed marketing or packaging materials of the product, or use of the OpenVX logo in the actual software application startup screens
- Company listing on the Adopting Members and Conformant Products pages
