OpenVX & Neural Networks Workshop at Embedded Vision Summit - final curriculum now onlineThe curriculum for the 2018 OpenVX Workshop at the Embedded Vision Summit in May has been finalized. The Khronos Group will be presenting a day-long hands-on workshop all about OpenVX cross-platform neural network acceleration API for embedded vision applications. Khronos has developed a new curriculum making this a do-not-miss tutorial with new information on computer vision algorithms for feature tracking and neural networks mapped to the graph API. The tutorials will be presented by speakers from Khronos member companies AMD, Axis Communications, Cadence and Codeplay. There will be hands-on practice sessions with the folks who created the OpenVX API to give participants a chance to solve real computer vision problems. Discussions will also include the OpenVX roadmap and what’s to come. Registration is now open but space is limited, so be sure not to wait too long.

IWOCL 2018 - The 6th International Workshop on OpenCL - May 14-16The Khronos Group is once again sponsoring the The International Workshop on OpenCL (IWOCL). An annual meeting of OpenCL application developers, researchers and suppliers coming together to share OpenCL best practice and to promote the evolution and advancement of the OpenCL standard. Distributed & Heterogeneous Programming for C/C++ (DHPCC++) will take place on the workshop track of the IWOCL with #IWOCL2018 being held in Oxford, UK, on May 14-16, 2018. Now in its fourth year, the International Workshop on OpenCL will be held in Vienna, Austria, at the C3 Convention Center on April 19-21. April 19th is reserved for an Advanced Hands On OpenCL tutorial with April 20th – 21st consisting of a mix of keynotes, academic papers, technical presentations, tutorials and poster sessions. We are inviting high-quality submissions in four categories: Full Academic Papers; Technical Presentations; Tutorials; Posters.

The International Workshop on OpenCL (IWOCL) brings together leading OpenCL experts from academia and industry, including many members of the OpenCL Khronos work group. Presenting at the second annual workshop 12-13 May 2014 at Bristol University England will be Altera, Qualcomm, ARM, Intel and ArrayFire. As well there will be keynotes from Adobe and Neil Trevett, Khronos President and OpenCL work group chair. The complete schedule and registration is online.

OzViz 2010 OpenCL is a yearly one-day intensive course that covers both a general introduction as well as more advanced topics showcasing OpenCL as a technology platform. Speakers from both industry and academia discussed a range of subjects, including core fundamentals, hardware architectures, parallel programming, as well as workload scheduling and device specific optimizations. All course material is now available online for download.
