As mentioned on Phoronix, Google just announced GSoC 2017 Projects. Included in the list are several Khronos related projects:

NVIDIA GPU Technology Conference lists additional Khronos Technology sessions

The GPU Technology Conference (GTC2017) will be running from May 8-11 this year in San Jose Convention Center. This year will see many sessions related to Khronos Technology including OpenCL, OpenGL, OpenVX, Vulkan and WebGL. NVIDIA has just added more sessions to their schedule. Check a list of Khronos related sessions on the Khronos site, or visit the NVIDIA GTC site to see all sessions.

The Khronos Milano Chapter is thrilled to renew the collaboration with Autodesk for the upcoming Design Week in Milan, Italy - April 4-9. The Milano Chapter will be presenting a series of talks on the “Future of Making Things.” Showing how companies are adopting 3D open standards as WebGL and glTF to deliver new solutions for the world of interior design, architecture and manufacturing.

Second International Blend4Web Conference in May 2017

The Khronos Developer Day Session videos from GDC 2017 are now on YouTube. The videos include “Reach the Largest Gaming Platform of All: The Web. In addition to the news, Khronos has a booth at GDC with lots of demo’s going on, and will be updating the new @OpenXR and Flickr frequently.

Khronos has today announced a call for participation in a new Exploratory Group to create a native 3D Portability API to enable developers to write rendering code that can run efficiently on Vulkan, DX12 and Metal-based systems. This API could also be a solid foundation for the next generation WebGL that can bind to this portable API for use with JavaScript and WebAssembly. Already supported by production browsers from Google and Mozilla, the WebGL 2.0 standard is final and now ready for developers to create the next wave of 3D web applications and engines. WebGL 2.0 exposes OpenGL ES 3.0-class functionality, bringing desktop-OpenGL capabilities to web developers everywhere. Additionally, Khronos has now started work on the next generation of WebGL to bring the power of the new generation of explicit 3D APIs to the Web. Join the Khronos Group at GDC, where the latest in game development and delivery technology is all anybody will be talking about.
