Rightware introduces Browsermark 2.0. Browsermark is a free to use benchmark designed to measure and compare the performance of any browser on any internet enabled device. In addition to measuring general browsing functionality such as page loading and conformance testing for HTML5 and network speed, Browsermark 2.0 tests your browser with WebGL, Canvas, HTML5, and CSS3/3D. You can test your browser right here, right now, with Rightware.
Rightware announced public availability of Basemark CL. The OpenCL benchmark product provides diverse performance measurement capabilities for device manufacturers, semiconductor companies and their ecosystem to test and optimize OpenCL implementations. The version launched today features tests targeted for desktop computers. An embedded profile version of the benchmark will be published at a later stage.
Rightware announced the release of Power Board, an online benchmarking database service, and Basemark™ ES 2.0 Taiji Free, a consumer-version of the industry’s standard graphics benchmarking product. Basemark™ ES 2.0 Taiji Free for Android-based smartphones, tablets and other embedded devices can be downloaded from Google’s Android Market and from Rightware’s website.
MontaVista® Software LLC and Rightware Oy announced a strategic partnership and enablement of Rightware’s flagship 3D user interface product - Kanzi® UI Solution running on top of a GENIVI compliant MontaVista Linux platform. MontaVista demonstrated at Telematics Update 2011, a jointly developed solution on an automotive reference platform that showcases their capabilities and ease of integration with 3D automotive solutions. The demonstration runs on top of OpenGL ES 2.0, which is the only hard-requirement for Kanzi Engine technology.
The official launch of Kanzi® UI Solution will be announced at Consumer Electronic Show (CES) in Las Vegas, NV. Kanzi® is the platform and operating system agnostic and requires only OpenGL ES 1.x or 2.0. Kanzi® offers a perfect solution for device manufacturers as it doesn’t cause the lock-in effect for specific platform or OS version but scales flexibly to any platform variant that supports OpenGL ES. Kanzi® users have a better influence and more freedom with decisions as they can use any 3D modeling tool supporting COLLADA® in order to create 3D objects and effects to user interfaces.
Rightware will demonstrate ‘Mobile App Store’ application, designed and implemented using Kanzi user interface solution, running in various mobile devices at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona from February 15th through February 18th. Key advantage of the Kanzi solution is “design-once, deploy everywhere” cross-platform support for the leading mobile operating systems, including Android, Blackberry, Linux, Maemo, Moblin, iPhone OS, Palm Web OS, Symbian OS, and Windows Mobile. Kanzi solution is build on top of industry standard OpenGL ES graphics API. A video featuring some capabilities of Kanzi is available online.
