The AR Community for Open and Interoperable Augmented Reality Experiences will be holding a face-to-face community meeting on September 12 in Munich, Germany. The F2F meetings are designed to promote discussion among ecosystem stakeholders for the development of open and interoperable AR content and experiences. We will receive updates about standards under development from Standards Development Organization spokepeople and Work Group chairs from The Khronos Group and many other organizations. In order to plan the agenda of the September 2014 AR Community meeting to target the needs of the community, participants are HIGHLY ENCOURAGED to prepare and submit speaking abstracts and/or position papers. Community meeting position paper guidelines are available online.

This international meeting of experts provides a single forum for representatives of all standards bodies and the contributors to AR standards development processes to meet and discuss their activities and progress, and to advance new specifications more rapidly than is possible without face-to-face interactions. This meeting will be based on a mixture of submitted papers, invited talks and open format, group discussions. In order to inform discussions and to select speakers, participants are encouraged, but not required, to submit papers.
