This course introduces the world of programmable pipeline by explaining basic topics of the GLSL(OpenGL Shading Language) which is a core feature of OpenGL ES 2.x and OpenGL 2.x. The course is offered in Japan in Japanese.

Students learn with interactive and hands-on sessions about GPU hardware, GPU languages, discovering how best to take advantage of GPUs for their computational needs. The course covers programming in both OpenCL and CUDA, pointing out the similarities and differences along the way. Topics include both the core languages and extensions including those for double precision and interfacing with OpenGL 3D graphics buffers.

OpenGL ES Programming provides programmers with interactive and hands-on sessions about graphics hardware, shading, data management, all through the modern OpenGL ES API. The course covers OpenGL ES 2.0 and the OpenGL ES Shading Language as well as the similarities and differences between OpenGL ES and desktop OpenGL 3.x/4.x. Topics include both the core languages and extensions such as those for double precision and interfacing with OpenGL 3D graphics buffers. The OpenCL University Kit is a set of materials for teaching a full semester course in OpenCL programming. Each lecture includes instructor notes and speaker notes, plus code examples for lectures 2, 3, and 13. A sample application is provided for lecture 9. A number of educational institutions now offer courses in OpenCL programming to help prepare developers for the new era of heterogeneous computing.
