Maintaining both the OpenGL and OpenGL ES 3D graphics APIs (as well as OpenCL and many others), Khronos has created these new A/V technologies for use on all mobile hardware and operating systems.

Neil Trevett – President of the Khronos Group
A UK native, Neil has been awarded a joint BS from the University of Birmingham in both Electronic Engineering and Computer Science. Neil has spent 25 years in the 3D graphics industry starting in 1985, when Neil became the Head of Graphics Systems at benchMark Technologies. Over several years, he helped to guide the company through its evolution into DuPont® Pixel and then 3Dlabs® before its final acquisition by Creative®. Today, Neil stays busy serving as the elected President of the Khronos Group as well the Chair of the OpenCL™ Working Group. In his “free time”, Neil is the Vice President of Mobile Content at NVIDIA®, a position he has held since 2005.
Jon Peddie – President of Jon Peddie Research
Dr. Jon Peddie is one of the pioneers of the graphics industry, and formed Jon Peddie Research (JPR) to provide customer intimate consulting and market forecasting services. Jon lectures at numerous conferences on topics pertaining to graphics technology and the emerging trends in digital media technology. Recently named one of the most influential analysts, he is frequently quoted in trade and business publications, and contributes articles to numerous publications as well as appearing on CNN and TechTV. Jon is also the author of several books including “Graphics User Interfaces and Graphics Standards” (1992), “High Resolution Graphics Display Systems” and “Multimedia and Graphics Controllers”, and a contributor to “Advances in Modeling, Animation, and Rendering”.
Erik Noreke – Chair of OpenSL ES Working Group
Erik is an Independent Standardization Specialist who consults with companies to assist them in developing, improving and incorporating technology standards. He has been heavily involved in technology analysis, specializing in API design, usability and applicability for more than 15 years. His experience ranges from large-scale, disjoint distributed computing systems to embedded systems for mobile handsets. After eleven years in the defense sector, he was an integral part of the API design team at Ericsson® Mobile Platforms, now part of ST-Ericsson®, doing strategic planning and analysis of both proprietary and standardized API solutions. He has also been a key consultant to SRS Labs, Inc. on the standardization process for OpenSL ES.
Yeshwant Muthusamy – Chair of OpenMAX AL Working Group
Yeshwant is a Technology Manager in the Technical Architecture group within Nokia®, focusing on multimedia API standardization. As one of Nokia’s key representatives to the Khronos Group, Yeshwant has made significant contributions to the OpenMAX IL, OpenMAX AL and OpenSL ES API standards. Prior to his standardization work, Yeshwant was a Senior Software Architect in the Symbian platform R&D organization. Prior to joining Nokia® in 2002, Yeshwant spent close to 9 years in the Speech Research Labs at Texas Instruments®, designing embedded speech recognition systems and speech APIs. Yeshwant’s areas of expertise include speech recognition, automatic language identification and mobile multimedia architecture. He holds two US Patents and has authored several book chapters, journal articles and peer-reviewed conference papers. Yeshwant holds a BT from the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, India and a Ph.D. from the Oregon Graduate Institute, both in Computer Science and Engineering.
Bob Lyle – Managing Director of Global Business Development at SRS Labs, Inc.
Bob has more than 17 years of experience in sales and marketing with such industry heavyweights as Motorola®, Qualcomm®, IBM® and Samsung®, as well as various venture-funded startups within the wireless semiconductor and wireless software arenas. His vast industry knowledge has helped to establish him as a leading sales/marketing player within the mobile industry. He holds both Masters and Bachelors Degrees in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University, was a Fulbright Scholar to Australia for part of his graduate work and has an Executive MBA from Arizona State University. Bob holds one US Patent, and has authored numerous articles and conference presentations. He currently serves as Managing Director of Business Development at SRS Labs, Inc. and runs their Mobile business efforts worldwide.
