Title: The Vulkan™ New Generation Graphics API – an Introduction and Overview.

In this session, Neil Trevett, president of Khronos and vice president of NVIDIA, members from DMP and Samsung will introduce Vulkan and show how to use the API to develop high-performance, low-latency games across multiple platforms including PC and mobile.
The session will start with an introduction to Khronos, why Vulkan was developed, how it compares to other APIs such as Direct3D and OpenGL and the platforms that support it including Android, and Windows.
The session will then explore the performance and latency advantages of Vulkan and what types of application should consider using it.
Finally the session will walk through the architecture of the API and show how programmers should use it most effectively for maximum performance and minimized latency.
