The COLLADA to glTF converter online tool allows you to convert your COLLADA models to glTF for use with Cesium. A self-contained glTF file will be downloaded once the conversion is finished, and a model preview will be shown below.
Visit the COLLADA BOF at SIGGRAPH on August 13th at 2PM and learn about COLLADA and glTF. COLLADA makes it easy to transport 3D assets among applications, so diverse 3D authoring and content-processing tools can be combined into a production pipeline. Scheduled speakers include Neil Trevett / Nvidia - COLLADA and glTF updates; Dan Toulous / Amobee - glTF at Amobee; Remi Arnaud / AMD - Adding 3D content to Impress | Libreoffice with COLLADA and glTF and Patrick Cozzi / Analytical graphics - glTF in Cesium updates.
Khronos OpenROAD is an animated video featuring all the royalty-free Khronos APIs working together in an open ecosystem. We started with an idea: a simple sketch of a sports car–and then show how Khronos APIs make it a reality. Our technology powers everything from the initial CAD design and simulation using OpenGL and OpenCL, to the in-car entertainment and communications using OpenSL ES, OpenMAX, and OpenVX, to its starring role in a mobile game using WebGL and WebCL.
LibreOffice 4.3 now supports inserting 3D models in the glTF format into presentations (using libgltf). Currently this feature is only available for Linux and Windows. There is also limited support for 3D models in .dae and .kmz formats using collada2gltf.
