Khronos Vulkanised ウェビナーは、3D開発コミュニティに向けてKhronosのVulkanエキスパート達と一緒に最新の開発状況を把握し、エンジンやアプリケーション、タイトルでVulkanを最大限に活用するためのヒントやテクニックを学ぶ機会を提供するものです。日本で、且つ日本語で開催されるのは初めてですが、これを機に、2回目以降も続けられたら良いなと考えています。
The Khronos Vulkanised webinars provide the international 3D development community with the opportunity to join our Vulkan experts to gain insights into the latest developments and learn the tips and techniques to get the most out of Vulkan in their engine, application or title. This meetup will be conducted in Japanese.

Introduction to Vulkan

概要: Vulkanとは何か、誰のためのものなのか、なぜ使うべきなのか、そしてVulkanを取り巻くエコシステムについての概要です。
講演者: Spencer Fricke、個人
Description: Overview of what is Vulkan, who is it for, why you should use it, and the ecosystem around it.
Speaker: Spencer Fricke, Independent

Spencer has been involved in the development of many parts of the Vulkan ecosystem; the Vulkan-Guide, Vulkan Specification, Vulkan-Validation Layers, SPIRV-Guide, SPIRV-Tools, and SPIRV-Visualizer. Formerly Spencer was the Khronos Representative and Vulkan driver engineer at Samsung, USA. He recently moved to Japan and is studying Japanese.

Vulkan from a Student / Researcher's Perspective

概要:  学生・研究者としてVulkanを使う理由を実体験から解説します。
講演者: 西舘 祐樹、慶応大学
Description: Why Yuki Nishidate, a student / researcher, uses Vulkan from her own experience.
Speaker: Yuki Nishidate, Keio University
Yuki graduated from Keio University Faculty of Science and Technology and is currently researching 3DCG technology at Keio University Graduate School.  He is particularly interested in rendering, machine learning, and GPU programming.

講演者: Marty Johnson, Vulkan Developer Relations, Khronos Group
Description: Overview of Vulkan Developer Resources including developer documentation, tools, educational materials, etc.
Speaker: Marty Johnson, Vulkan Developer Relations, Khronos Group
Marty graduated from University of Washington and worked with many graphics teams at Intel and AMD.  He is currently leading the Vulkan Developer Relations team for Khronos as well as supporting the Vulkan team with project and program management roles.
