Portable and Scalable 3D Rendering Using ANARI [S51101]

Speaker: Jefferson Amstutz
When: Thursday, Mar 23 | 9:00a.m. - 9:50a.m.
Abstract: Countless 3D rendering engines have been built to bring state-of-the-art rendering to applications. However, interfacing an application with a rendering engine still requires software maintenance for each engine the application uses. ANARI solves the problem of every rendering engine needing its own unique API. ANARI is a common front-end interface library from Khronos that takes in-memory scene data and dispatches it to an underlying rendering engine. The API provides rendering engines the semantics to be able to expose innovation without special APIs: asynchronous scene updates, zero-copy data arrays, low frame latency, and ultimately beautifully rendered images. We'll showcase our experiences using ANARI inside mainstream visualization libraries and applications, as well as using the ANARI API to bridge applications into the Omniverse ecosystem via Universal Scene Description.

Ray-Tracing Development using NVIDIA Nsight Graphics and NVIDIA Nsight Systems* [DLIT51580]

Speakers: Avinash Baliga, Aurelio Reis, Jeffrey Kiel, Uri Shomroni
When: Thursday, Mar 23 | 9:00a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
Abstract: With the arrival of NVIDIA RTX and real-time ray tracing APIs like DXR and Vulkan Ray Tracing, it's now easier than ever to create stunning visuals at interactive frame rates. Learn how to utilize NVIDIA Nsight Graphics to profile and optimize 3D applications that use ray tracing.
