In this glTF virtual meetup, Khronos 3D Formats Working Group members will explore next-generation capabilities and applications for glTF, including preparing glTF assets for real-time and metaverse applications and creating assets with volumetric video characteristics. You will be able to post questions to our speakers during the session and at the concluding “Ask the Experts” session.

  • Getting CGI content ready for real-time with glTF

    • View AbstractIn this talk, Max will demonstrate an automated pipeline the enables retailers to bring 3D CGI assets into real-time XR apps and web-based apps. The resulting glTF models can be used across a wide variety of target platforms and 3D viewers. Attendees will be able to try the process for themselves and download the presented glTF model.
  • Staging glTF to the Metaverse
    • Norbert Nopper, UX3D
    • View Abstract In this talk, Norbert will evaluate the challenges of staging 3D assets to the Metaverse using glTF. He will present the current and future challenges of staging to and between 3D worlds of the Metaverse. He will then use Gestaltor to demonstrate how to optimize, remix, merge and compose glTF for an optimal outcome for today’s and future 3D platforms.

    • View Abstract In this talk Tim will discuss the challenges of bringing volumetric video characteristics to glTF assets and demonstrate Mod Tech Labs’ approach to volumetric glTF.
