Agenda

Cross-Vendor Mesh Shading with Vulkan (60 min)

During this tutorial style webinar we will show how to use the Vulkan Synchronization API calls, and provide instructions and recommendations for using the validation tools, including how to understand the validation errors you are receiving and how to fix errors in your application. A live demonstration will be provided.

Speakers: Timur Kristóf, Valve; Steven Winston, Holochip; Ricardo Garcia, Igalia; Christoph Kubisch, NVIDIA

Useful Pre-reading: To help familiarize Vulkan developers with this new extension, Christoph Kubisch from NVIDIA published the blog, Cross-vendor Mesh Shading with Vulkan.

Source-level Shader Debugging in Vulkan with Renderdoc (30 min)

Source-level shader debugging is a very powerful tool for graphics application developers. This capability is now available for debugging shaders in Vulkan using RenderDoc. DXC (DirectX Shader Compiler) and glslangValidator front ends are supported. In this session, we’ll provide an overview describing how to generate the debug information in your shaders and a demo showing how to use RenderDoc to debug your shaders. Any limitations and future plans will also be detailed.

Speakers: Greg Fischer, LunarG: Jeremy Hayes, LunarG
