One of the main roles of CEDEC is to provide a community, and in order to share the value that can only be obtained through face-to-face communication, we considered holding the event in a hybrid format with on-site participants. However, in light of the impact of the more contagious mutant strains, we will be holding CEDEC2022 online this year.

Although we are disappointed that we have not been able to interact with you in a local setting for a long time, we're committed to making this the best online conference that can only happen right now, levelling up with knowledge gained from holding the conference online during the past two years.
Let's refuse to get shaken up by the uncertainty caused by COVID-19, and instead bring lots of excitement to this year!
We greatly appreciate your continued support!

OpenGL Developers - Start from Scratch with Vulkan and Ray Tracing

Presenter: Takayuki Kawakami, Mitsubishi Precision Co.
Time: Thursday, August 25, 17:30 - 17:55
Room: 3
Despcription: Until now, we have developed scene graphs for simulators in-house using OpenGL for its transparency and long-term maintainability. With the advent of the ray tracing era, and in consideration of future development continuity, we are considering migrating to a next-generation API for the graphics part. In this presentation, we will introduce examples of PBR luminance calculation, shadow, AO, atmosphere and time simulation, global lighting effect, multi-view, optical system simulation with distortion, and challenges in the API migration process.
