The following BOFs are on July 27, located in Pacific A, Hilton Anaheim, 777 W. Convention Way, Anaheim
Accelerating Vision Processing with Khronos
The latest on using OpenVX and OpenCL to accelerate vision-processing applications ranging from embedded augmented reality to neural-net scene recognition in the cloud.
Heterogeneous Computing with Khronos
An update on the OpenCL ecosystem for parallel computation including SYCL single source C++ programming, and the SPIR-V intermediate language for parallel computation.
3D Web Graphics with Khronos
Discover the cutting edge in WebGL applications with fast-paced demos and presentations, including glTF – the “JPEG for 3D” format specification. Speakers will include:
3D Graphics with Khronos
The very latest on the Khronos family of 3D APIs, including Vulkan, OpenGL, and OpenGL ES. This session will be broken into several separate sessions, details to follow.
2:30 – 4:00: Vulkan and OpenGL/OpenGL ES Updates
Following a 30-minute presentation from Khronos and the Vulkan working group, we will focus on the ISV experience. Presentations from::
4:00 – 5:00: Vulkan Best Practices Roundtable
This panel of ISVs, IHVs, and Vulkan working group members will discuss programmers' best practices for using the Vulkan API for maximum performance and portability.
Panel Members:
5:00 – 6:00: Vulkan Tools Roundtable
Our panel of ISVs, IHVs, and Vulkan working group members will discuss the state of tools for the Vulkan ecosystem: What tools exist today? What are the pros and cons of the various tools? What tools will be needed in the future?
Panel Members:
Come celebrate another great year of graphics with the people behind some of the industry's leading visual computing technologies. We’ll have beer, pizza, music, and Khronos Members available to answer your questions or talk about Khronos technologies.
We wanted to have a demoscene contest, but we decided there wasn’t enough time to organize one! Since we have two giant screens in the room, we will be showing the coolest demoscene videos we can find during the party. If you’d like us to include your video in the reel, please submit it by July 25.
