Menus Master is a product that supports COLLADA.

Menus Master helps artists and programmers to dramatically reduce the time it takes to author any sophisticated game user interfaces:

  • 2D and 3D front-ends
  • In-game UIs
  • Heads-up displays (HUD)

Unlike other solutions, Menus Master is a complete toolchain, only dedicated to video games. It allows a quick and easy creation of UI, from concept to its integration into the game.

But the rigorous technical constraints, proper to video games, makes Menus Master the perfect UI solution for any kind of software using high-end computing technologies, amongst them the “serious games”.

With Menus Master, artists can author up to 80% of the UI and HUD, without any programming assistance. Programming assistance is only needed when integrating UI and HUD in the game, and if you need to establish complex interaction between the UI and the game (i.e. to manage dynamic databases).

Menus Master is based on a fully open architecture, upgradeable to follow the evolution of the video game market, and to adapt to any upcoming technologies.

Thousands of game UI have been analysed in order to determine the best set of tools necessary to ease the work of artists in authoring AAA game UI, and the best way to ease the work of programmers integrating the UI into the game.

Menus Master has initially been developed as an internal tool at the French video games studio Delphine Software International, by video game industry veteran, with more than 10 years experience in games development and game UI creation.

Menus Master is the result of more than 8 years of R&D. Menus Master has already been used in real conditions to achieve production of several AAA games, amongst them the Moto Racer Series, which sold more than 8 million units worldwide.

A scientific validation of UI mechanisms, led by LudoTIC, a French conglomerate of experts on Human Computer Interaction and Interface Ergonomics, is in progress, in order to help Omegame to make Menus Master even better. LudoTIC possesses considerable research and teaching experience in the fields of Cognitive Psychology and Ergonomics. LudoTIC uses advanced technologies like the Eye Tracking device to study users' behaviours and render optimized interfaces through an objective, scientific approach.
