Q: Does WebCL require an expensive, high-end GPU?
A: No. In fact, it doesn't require any kind of GPU. Running WebCL kernels on the CPU is a perfectly valid scenario, and yields significant speed-up over JavaScript.
Q: Does WebCL make Facebook run faster on my browser?
A: No. It has no effect on pages that don't use it.
