That's correct, parsing the version string appears to be the only way to do it in host code. There's an easier way to do it in kernel code, though:

	#if __OPENCL_VERSION__ < 110
	#error "This kernel requires OpenCL version 1.1 or greater";
	#endif

M-set animation uses integer clamp function supported only in OpenCL 1.1 How can I check OpenCL version? Only by parsing of the string
"version: OpenCL 1.1 AMD-APP-SDK-v2.4 (595.10)"
