OpenGL ES Trademarks & Logos

Using the OpenGL® ES Trademark in Print and on the Web

Any developer or company can freely download the OpenGL ES & EGL Specifications and implement and ship products using OpenGL ES completely free of charge, royalty or licensing. Use of the OpenGL ES Word or Logo Trademark however has certain requirements.

  • On the Web
If you create an OpenGL ES related product or tutorial, you are encouraged to use an OpenGL ES logo on your web site according to the guidelines and let us know so that we can help promote your work.
  • In Print
When you use the OpenGL ES word trademark in print, please use: OpenGL(R) ES or OpenGL® ES
  • In Products & Packaging
If you want to use the OpenGL ES logo for packaging or in your software application itself, then you must become an OpenGL ES Adopting Member and you will be required to submit your product for Conformance Testing which you must pass, prior to using the logo.
All product names are trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective holders.
