Khronos Group launches Pan Pacific Tour this month

The Khronos Group's growth continues to be significant and demonstrates the huge opportunity we share as members of this highly specialized industry. Throughout 2012, Khronos is hosting a series of media events, educational sessions and F2F meetings for consortium members and prospective clients. The Khronos Pan Pacific Road Show 2012 is devoted to our members and colleagues in the Pan Pacific region with a focus on education and training. The Khronos Group is hosting a series of DevUs, educational sessions, Member F2F meetings and news conferences aimed at the educational community. The Khronos Pan Pacific Road Show 2012 is devoted to the Pan Pacific region with a focus on education and training, OpenGL and OpenGL ES, OpenCL, WebGL, WebCL OpenVG, OpenSL ES and OpenMAX. 17th ACM International Web3D Conference

The 17th edition of ACM International Web3D Conference will take place in Los Angeles Convention Center, California, in August 04-05, 2012. Co-Located with SIGGRAPH 2012 and in Cooperation with Web3D Consortium & ACM SIGGRAPH. The annual ACM Web3D Conference is a major event that gathers researchers, developers, entrepreneurs, experimenters, artists, and content creators in a dynamic environment. Attendees can share and explore methods of using, enhancing, and creating new 3D Web and Multimedia technologies, such as WebGL and HTML5 (which is a hot topic in Computer Graphics), Flash/ Stage 3D, X3D, COLLADA, and the MPEG family. Khronos Group to be keynote speaker at Linley Tech Mobile Conference

The Linley Tech Mobile Conference will be held on April 16 & 17 in San Jose, California. A two-day, single-track conference feature technical presentations addressing system design for mobile devices such as tablet computers, smartphones, navigation devices, media players, handheld games, and e-book readers. Neil Trevett, President of the Khronos Group will discuss how OpenCL and OpenGL standards are changing the way that mobile systems are designed today. He will also address new initiatives in sensor processing and vision processing that will bring new capabilities to mobile devices.
