ImgTec GDC session offers insight into Tile Based Deferred Rendering architecture

Joe Davis and Gordon MacLachlan both from Imagination Technologies, will present their session "Understanding POWERVR SGX Graphics Technology and Optimizing for Great Graphics Performance" on Monday february 28th at 4:15 Room 120 in the North Hall. The aim of this session is to give an expert insight into the POWERVR SGX and SGX MP Tile Based Deferred Rendering architecture and explain to developers how they can use the PVRTune analysis utility, and best programming practice, to optimize their applications for todays mobile devices.

See Khronos and COLLADA at GDC

Please visit Khronos at booth #1444 at the Game Developer Conference (GDC), March 2-4, 2011 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco to learn more about COLLADA. Khronos is also running a series of developer university sessions on Thursday, March 3rd, in Room 301 in the South Hall:

  • WebGL at 9AM
  • OpenGL at 10:30AM
  • Demos at 12 noon
  • COLLADA at 1:30PM
  • OpenCL at 3PM
  • Beer and demos at 4:30PM and finally Mobile APIs at 4:50PM.

WebGL Camp #3 is just around the corner. This Friday, June 10th at 8:30AM, WebGL Camp #3 will start. There is an impressive line-up of speakers at 1300 Crittenden Lane, Mountain View, CA, a Google Campus. The Khronos Group has a pavilion at SIGGRAPH Vancouver this year. With 7 booths to accommodate a few of the Khronos Members like AMD, Codeplay, DMP, Fixstars and HUONE, lots of demos and five Birds of a Feather events this year, there is lots happening with Khronos. There will be lots of prizes at the BOFs including Quadro 5000 and FirePro graphics cards, an SSD Drive books and t-shirts. Most importantly there will be some significant news announcements this year.
