Following their successful participation in SIGGRAPH Asia 2008, The Khronos Group is again hosting a “Developer University” as well as expanding their activities by exhibiting on the show floor. The Khronos Group is proud to invite you to Pacifico Yokohama, Yokohama, Japan at booth C12. Updates will be given on all of the major Khronos API's including OpenGL, OpenCL, COLLADA, OpenMAX, OpenVG and OpenGLES, as well, some major announces surrounding WebGL. See numerous Khronos members demonstrate on the “Khronos Pavilion” and teach about Khronos APIs at “Developer University.” Following our successful participation in SIGGRAPH Asia 2009, the Khronos Group is dramatically increasing our participation at SIGGRAPH Asia 2010 in Seoul. We are hosting Khronos Developer University co-located with SIGGRAPH Asia, and numerous Khronos members have joined together and each is taking a demonstration suite to create a large number of exciting demos in the Khronos Pavilion on the SIGGRAPH trade show floor. We are looking forward to seeing you all there.

The Khronos Group is hosting a series of DevUs, educational sessions, Member F2F meetings and news conferences aimed at the educational community. The Khronos Pan Pacific Road Show 2012 is devoted to the Pan Pacific region with a focus on education and training, OpenGL and OpenGL ES, OpenCL, WebGL, WebCL OpenVG, OpenSL ES and OpenMAX. Complete details on all the upcoming events can be found on the Khronos Group event page. The next events will be held in Taipei on February 17 2012. We've just increased our number of seats, so registration is open again.

The Khronos Group commenced the opening events of its most recent tour to Beijing and Shanghai. The Khronos Board of Directors, including AMD, Apple, ARM, Epic, Ericsson, Freescale, Imagination Technologies, Intel, Nokia, NVIDIA, Oracle, Qualcomm, Samsung, SONY and Texas Instruments, has made engaging the participation of Chinese industry a priority and has committed significant financial and staffing resources to Chinese activities. Khronos standards include OpenGL ES, the 3D graphics API used to power the user interface, games and applications on almost every smartphone in the world, OpenCL for heterogeneous parallel computation and WebGL for 3D graphics for HTML5.
