October 24, 2005 – Clearlake Park, California: The Khronos™ Group is pleased to announce that Creative Technology Ltd has become a Khronos Promoting Member, gaining a seat on the Board of Directors that direct Khronos activities. Khronos is also happy to announce that Emersys has become a Khronos Contributing Members to participate in the ongoing development and promotion of open, royalty-free, embedded media acceleration API standards to enable dynamic media hardware and software markets on a wide variety of platforms.
