The Khronos Group - Connecting Software to Silicon

The Khronos Group is a not for profit industry consortium creating open standards for the authoring and acceleration of parallel computing, graphics, dynamic media, computer vision and sensor processing on a wide variety of platforms and devices. All Khronos members are able to contribute to the development of Khronos API specifications, are empowered to vote at various stages before public deployment, and are able to accelerate the delivery of their cutting-edge 3D platforms and applications through early access to specification drafts and conformance tests.

Over $5,000 of state-of-the-art Workstation Boards to be given away at SIGGRAPH OpenCL BOF

AMD and NVIDIA are providing some pretty sweet graphics hardware at the OpenCL BOF at SIGGRAPH on Tuesday 27th from 4:00 pm - 6:00, Room 402A in the Los Angeles Convention Center – the prizes include:

  • Two Fermi-based NVIDIA Quadro FX 5000 – packed with 2.5GB GDDR5!
  • Two Cypress-based ATI Radeon 5870s!

Prizes will be awarded on knowledge of OpenCL “trivia” so come prepared!

The OpenCL CL BOF at SIGGRAPH will be a great place to come up to speed on the new OpenCL 1.1 and interact with key OpenCL developers from AMD, Khronos, Graphic Remedy Intel and NVIDIA – including the OpenCL chair and spec editor – be there or be polygonal.
