The Khronos Group - Connecting Software to Silicon

The Khronos Group is a not for profit industry consortium creating open standards for the authoring and acceleration of parallel computing, graphics, dynamic media, computer vision and sensor processing on a wide variety of platforms and devices. All Khronos members are able to contribute to the development of Khronos API specifications, are empowered to vote at various stages before public deployment, and are able to accelerate the delivery of their cutting-edge 3D platforms and applications through early access to specification drafts and conformance tests.

Khronos standards are fundamental to many of the technologies on display at KGC. If you manufacture develop multimedia content for games, DCC, CAD or mobile devices, you should attend Khronos Group’s DevU (Developer University) to learn about these new industry standards for royalty-free multimedia development:

      • Applications driving next-generation handset requirements
      • Opportunities opened up by innovation and standardization in graphics and mobile gaming
      • Technological advances in multimedia handset technology

It’s been two years since Khronos Group has hosted a DevU in Seoul and you don’t want to miss your chance to attend this one. Here is a look at the rich content from our last “Developer University” in Seoul in 2007.

      • Most visitors choose to take an airport shuttle bus instead of a taxi.
      • We recommend either the KAL Limousine Bus or the Korea City Air Terminal Limousine Bus.
      • The red KCAT Limousine Bus will bring you to the City Air Terminal at the COEX Center.
      • The blue KAL Limousine Bus goes directly to many 4 and 5-star hotels throughout the city.
      • These buses run nonstop between Incheon International Airport and Korea City Air Terminal at COEX.
      • They depart every 10-15 minutes from the bus stops 3B East and 10B West on the 1st floor of ICN.
      • The ride is approximately 80-90 minutes.
      • You may purchase the bus ticket at the ticket office located near one of the bus stops or directly from the bus driver.
      • Operating hours: From Incheon Int’l Airport to Korea City Air Terminal: 05:30-22:30
      • Operating hours: From Korea City Air Terminal to Incheon Int’l Airport: 05:20-20:00
      • Operating Interval: Every 5-10 min.
      • Duration of ride: Approximately 80-90 min.
      • Bus fare: KW 13,000 (USD $12)

      Taxi

You can always take a taxi, but remember that it is a long distance from Inchon (ICN) to downtown Seoul and Seoul traffic ranks near the top as the world's worst. This is by far the most expensive way to get into Seoul.
