D/AVE 3D supports industry standrad OpenGL ES 1.1 and OpenVG 1.01 API for use in Automotive, Mobile, Avionics and Industrial devices . D/AVE 3D offers high performance per-primitive anti-aliasing, texture compression,edge-based filtering, A VSP ( Vertex Stream Processor ) that enables OpenGL ES 2.0 like vertex shader support. D/AVE 3D supports high performance of upto 16 Million triangles/sec and 266 mega pixels/sec fill rates on ASICS. With complete end-to-end solutions in embedded graphics customers of D/AVE are enabled with support for developing enhanced GUI with Guiliani, 3D MAP Sandbox and Graphics evaluation boards. This General availability of D/AVE 3D comes after successful licensing of D/AVE 3D by NEC Electronics.
Imagination Technologies announces further details of the first POWERVR SGX graphics IP core with multi-processor (MP) core support. The technology, henceforth POWERVR SGX543MP, is being delivered to customers in SGXMP2 (two-core) to SGXMP16 (16-core) variants. The cores support Khronos APIs including OpenGL™ ES 2.x, OpenVG™ 1.x and OpenCL™. Fujitsu Microelectronics Asia Pte Ltd announced the launch of MB86298 a new graphics controller System-on-Chip (SoC) for automotive infotainment systems. The new controller offers the highest-class graphics capability for embedded systems, as well as an industry first of providing output to up to 4 displays, and up to 4 video inputs.The MB86298 graphics controller contains an acceleration function for OpenGL® ES 2.0, making it simpler to construct an in-vehicle entertainment environment. Fujitsu Microelectronics plans to provide OpenVG 1.0 support for smooth enlargement/reduction of characters and straight or curved lines.
Freescale Semiconductor introduces two highly integrated i.MX35 multimedia applications processors. Freescale’s pin-compatible i.MX353 and i.MX357 applications processors combine the ARM1136JF-S™ core with an OpenVG graphics engine.

The POWERVR VXG150 extends the reach of Imagination’s graphics IP to entry level handsets and developing markets. The POWERVR VGX architecture provides native acceleration of all functionality in OpenVG 1.1, the vector graphics API developed by the Khronos group, offloading virtually all processing from the CPU to deliver high-performance acceleration. Through full support of the OpenVG 1.1 API stack, VGX150 enables full high performance acceleration of all OpenVG applications such as SVG players, Flash Lite™ 3 and Flash™ 7 players as well as native OpenVG content. NEC System Technologies, Ltd. today announced the launch of license sales of embedded graphics IP "GA88 Series/IWAYAG" achieving high function, high performance vector graphics conforming to the latest version OpenVG 1.1 for digital home appliances, car navigation systems and other visual display functions installed embedded devices. This supports FlashPlayer and Adobe Flash Lite 3.1.5 embedded by Adobe Systems Incorporated and enables 5x to 10x faster Flash contents playback speeds.

The Khronos™ Group announced today that it has ratified and publicly released the OpenVG™ 1.1 specification, a new version of the royalty-free, open standard for low-level 2D vector graphics acceleration. OpenVG 1.1 adds a Glyph API for hardware accelerated text rendering, full acceleration support for Adobe® Flash® and Flash Lite 3 technologies and multi-sampled anti-aliasing. The new OpenVG specification is accompanied by an open source sample implementation and a full suite of conformance tests implemented by the Khronos Group.
