Re: Mouse pointer 'set position' or bust!

I thought of a sensible solution, but it is not how browsers work now, so it is purely theoretical.

Because of touch devices, any browser-based interface should only rely on two types of mouse...

Re: A self-contained adaptive quality example

@gregg Big thanks for the reminder! This has changed after I last updated this demo.

I fixed it, but I have not yet done any testing on different systems, so at best I can hope this works for you...

Re: WebGL doesn't work for me !!!

I tested this on systems with Intel cards and software rendering worked, and on a Linux box with a Nvidia card the sw/hw switch worked all right - as I recall, there's a chance I just forgot, will...

Re: WebGL doesn't work for me !!!

I took a look at the code and couldn't find it anywhere, but I tested it and it worked on both Win & Linux.

Re: WebGL doesn't work for me !!!

Try the newest nightly builds, like this one for Windows 32 bit:

    http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/ ... taller.exe

Software rendering should work after enabling...

Re: A self-contained adaptive quality example

Happy to hear that! Thank you. So it turns out that this validation thing is useful, there should be less trouble with different platforms now!

Re: A self-contained adaptive quality example

Now I have fixed shader code to pass the newly-introduced validation - maybe this has helped the Mac case? Or changed anything at all?

You are quite right... I've fixed that, so if you could check if it works now...

Re: A self-contained adaptive quality example

Thanks again. Unfortunately, it is not probable that I will have access to Apple computers anytime soon (well, I can only mess with this in an Apple Store, but this would look strange, hahah).

    I...

Re: A self-contained adaptive quality example

Could you please write what your browser/OS/graphics card/driver configuration is?

I have tested this example on two NVidia cards and the OSMesa renderer, so you are probably using some other card...
  12. Re: Minnefield: can't create a OSMesa pseudo-PBuffer

I confirm that it works starting from today's build, which appeared after I posted the previous message. :) Sorry for the confusion...

I have updated the page with instructions accordingly.

  13. Re: Minnefield: can't create a OSMesa pseudo-PBuffer

They are still the only way to make it work, because the current builds are broken.

*WHEN* a non-broken build appears, I will update that instructions page to account for the mgl to gl change. For...

Re: webgl based firefox in linux.

There's an earlier thread about this issue: viewtopic.php?f=45&t=2241&start=15

Basicly, you need to recompile either Minefield or Mesa.

    A self-contained adaptive quality example

I've put together a simple adaptive-quality fragment shader example.

The code does not use any external libraries, so it might be educational for those who want to start playing with WebGL.

    You...
  16. Re: Unable to run Webgl in Firefox nightly under (ubuntu) linux

    Hi

If you don't want to recompile Minefield or wait for this patch to be accepted, you can just compile libOSMesa with changed names. I've put the instructions on my site...
