    how to use math.h functions in __kernel

    How do you evaluate fuctions like sqrt() in a __kernel function? I did a straightforward implementation but that does not work. Like:


    __kernel void Calc(int *a, int *b){
    b[0] = sqrt(a[0]);...

    and one more thing. I'm connecting to a remote server and working on it using ssh, should that cause any problems in producing the output on the screen?

    well how do you run the code? Its just like running a simple .c code isn't it? or is there something else to do, because it's not changing the output when i change that to 10.

    how fast is it as compared to OpenMP?

    Has anyone compared OpenCL vs OpenMP for some distributed tasks? I just wanted to know how much will the speed-up be, if i want to code in OpenCL.
