    Accessing CAL buffers from OpenCL?

My company has a lot of CAL/IL code and we're looking for ways to access it through OpenCL. One idea is to access CALresources as cl_mem structures. Has anyone succeeded in doing this?

    It occurs...

    Maximum number of work-items

My GPU contains 18 compute units and each work-group supports a maximum of 256 work-items. When I execute my kernel with 16 * 256 items, OpenCL creates 16 work-groups and I get the right answer. But...

    Re: Testing vectors for equality

Never mind. I forgot that the '==' operator returns all ones (0xFF, 0xFFFF, and so on) for equality. So you can use the 'any' and 'all' functions to test the result.

    Testing vectors for equality

    Hello,

I've read through the 1.1 standard, but I can't find a good way to test two vectors for equality. For example, if x and y are char16s, I can't use if(x == y) because the "==" operator...
  5. Re: Experiments with memory object allocation flags

I found the same OpenCL bugs on my Mac, which has an Nvidia GPU. It seems odd that Nvidia and AMD have precisely the same bugs in their implementations.

I'd be interested to know if any...
  6. Re: Experiments with memory object allocation flags

I've read the spec and I've read your postings on this subject. What I've written about has to do with the run-time errors I get when I run real code.

    If I create a write-only memory object with a...
  7. Experiments with memory object allocation flags

There have been a handful of threads that discuss the memory object allocation flags (CL_MEM_COPY_HOST_PTR, CL_MEM_ALLOC_HOST_PTR, and CL_MEM_USE_HOST_PTR), but I've run some experiments and they...
