    Why wouldn't you want to use textures? You'll get much faster renders if you do. A basic rule of 3D acceleration: never mix 2D and 3D.[/quote]

    There are several way to do a such thing :

    - make rectangles and place textures on them (remember the 2^n padding)

    - access to the colorbuffer and raw copy the pixels (but it seems that GLES...
