  1. Re: Is it possible to access the surface normal (not vertex)

I'm pretty sure it's the only way though. I have a lot of graphics experience. I would love for someone to prove me wrong though and show a novel way to do it.

    Re: OpenGL-ES 2.0 problem

See my matrix.h and matrix.c in my engine. viewtopic.php?f=9&t=3140

You'll be able to make all the matrices you need.

    Re: Linking multiple shader objects

Yeah you're going to have to merge your pixel shader text together before using glAttachShader
  5. Re: Is it possible to access the surface normal (not vertex)

Ok it sounds like you want flat shading, correct? If that's the case make sure your triangles are all separate, no indexed triangles. Then make sure your normals for all 3 points in each triangle...
  6. Re: Uniforms on a shader program used in multiple threads

You should be rendering everything in one OpenGL context.

Perhaps you can use this code as an example. viewtopic.php?f=9&t=3140

  9. Re: Help detecting when a 3d element is touched on iPhone

Another easier way is to render each object a special color to a texture, then check the color of the pixel you touch and return the object using the ID. Ideally use a binary search when looking up...
  10. Re: Help detecting when a 3d element is touched on iPhone

You're going to have to write code to do it. Turn your touch point into a ray that casts into the screen and checks for collisions. Search for info on Google about "3D picking."
  11. Re: Is it possible to access the surface normal (not vertex)

What kind of shape is it? The common way to get smooth normals is to use point normals on the model and normalize the interpolated point normals in the pixel shader. I'm not sure what you're...
