    Re: ML on Windows CE

I'm currently only working with audio, but if there aren't video I/O capable devices in WinCE yet, that's probably just a matter of time.

I was able to get ML to build for the most part, but ran...

    ML on Windows CE

Has anyone tried to create a build of the SDK for Windows CE using embedded VC++? I'd be interested in sharing experiences/solutions with anyone who has gotten this working.

    Thanks,

    Re: Playing multiple voices

Apparently, I was doing something wrong in my initial tests because ML does support opening multiple paths, and the winaudio device does play multiple concurrent sounds.

    Sorry for my earlier...

    Re: Playing multiple voices

"Voice" is a term that refers to how many sounds you can play at the same time.

Most audio hardware has the capability of playing multiple sounds, and audio APIs typically do one of two things:

    Playing multiple voices

I am trying to determine the correct mechanism for playing multiple sounds at the same time through OpenML.

On the application side, I'm guessing that we need to open multiple paths with...

    Re: How to open ML_SDK_installer.wip

    Hi Fabrice,

The problem was that I could not find the source code to OpenML itself, and made the mistake of assuming the "build" directory might be where it was -- trapped inside that installer...

    Re: How to open ML_SDK_installer.wip

Note also that I don't want to "write ML programs". The task I'm considering is porting ML to another platform, and there's not much I can do without the source.

    Re: How to open ML_SDK_installer.wip

I have read all .pdf documents I found, although I don't have one called ML_SDK_DEVELOPERS_MANUAL.pdf. It's likely that this file is inside the installer archive that I cannot access, unless you mean...

    Re: How to open ML_SDK_installer.wip

Note that it isn't even a matter of compiling it -- I can't even *see* the SDK source since the current version will not open a .wip file.

    Re: How to open ML_SDK_installer.wip

Thank you for your response, although I do hope that the bottom line for me is not "I can't".

I do not have the older version of Visual Studio, plus I have other projects that rely on the current...

    How to open ML_SDK_installer.wip

A little digging seems to indicate that this file is intended for an older version of Visual Studio and something called "Windows Installer Project".

The only version I have is Visual Studio.NET...
