Re: 3-D vs 1-D Global worksapce

It did sound like it to me, but i was hoping for it not to be. Thanks for your reply.

    3-D vs 1-D Global worksapce

This is yet another query about global workspace.

Basically, i'm getting a graphics card crash, when i specify a large number of threads in the global workspace.
    When i specify a 1-D global...

    Re: Global work space size

Yeah, i figured this out on friday. Read somewhere that the maximum size is determined by the max size of size_t, which, although i have a 64 bit OS, my graphics card uses 32 bit address. So i can do...

    Kernel improvement?

I'm passing 2 global arrays of 2D points into my kernel, and then in the kernel, i'm accessing the global arrays multiple times (and passing them into other functions).

    For example:

I'm currently having some issues with my opencl code, when i'm trying to pass in a large (is it?) global work space.

    This is my kernel

    A question on NDRange

Ok - so i'm trying to get my head around the global and local ndranges.

Briefly - i 'm trying to calculate whether or not two polygons intersect one another..... and doing this by testing one line...
  9. Re: Passing a global parameter from kernel into a function

Thanks, i got that to build!

Now to sort the rest of it out :)
  10. Passing a global parameter from kernel into a function

I'm just playing around with OpenCL and trying to get some simple c++ routines adapted for opencl.

Basically - i'm trying to do something of the kind:

Copying c++ classes for use in open CL

I'm just starting out with open CL, so there's a number of issues / questions that i have.

My first question revolves around a list of 2-D points, for example in the following c++ class:
