I understand this API will focus on new sensors while still supporting traditional input devices.

I'd like to know to what extent you are planning to support traditional devices in the API:

-Will it support things not very popular in games but often requested by gamers, like two players playing split-screen with two keyboards and two mouse devices?
(I'm talking about the ability to figure out which mouse or keyboard generated a given event which is absent from a good deal of existing APIs)
-Will it support devices like joysticks, gamepads, etc.?
-Will it support devices not very useful in games, but used by software that can conceivably benefit from a portable API like active digitizers?
-Will it consider hardware timers and system clocks as input devices? (It may be useful to compare the timestamp of an event with the current time.)
