What's the Best Way for My Company to Get Involved?
There are five levels at which an individual or company can participate in Khronos Media Authoring and Acceleration technologies development and usage, each with its own set of benefits:

| Non-member Conformant Product Testing (OpenGL ES / OpenMAX / OpenVG | $15,000 for non-members for unlimited submissions for an API up to a particular API version |

- Implementers - may create and deliver a product using the publicly released specifications, but cannot use the trademarks.
- Adopters- complete the conformance testing procedures and sign a royalty-free license to use the trademarks on their products.
- Academic Contributors - have full API working group participation but no voting rights.
- Contributors - have full API working group participation and voting rights, and generous marketing benefits.
- Promoters - act as the "Board of Directors" to set the direction of the Group, with final specification ratification voting rights.

How Much Does it Cost to Get Involved?
Participation in and usage of Khronos-developed open standards range from
- Free for Developers
- $1,000 annual Academic Contributor Membership
- $7,500 annual Contributor Membership
- $25,000 annual Promoter Membership -- when elected to join by current Promoters Board.
What Benefits Do We Get From Our Paid Membership?
- You may listen or participate in the OpenGL, OpenKODE, OpenGL ES, OpenML, OpenMAX, OpenVG, OpenSL ES, COLLADA and Marketing Work Groups
- Contributors and Promoters have voting rights in the development of these specifications
- You get to participate in speaking opportunities at Khronos Events that let you get your messages out there: so the price of your membership is quickly recovered through marketing value alone!
- You may also get to speak on behalf of Khronos on panels at industry events, and take requests for interviews from press

Driving the Open Embedded Media Platform

The Khronos Group is a member-funded industry consortium focused on the creation of open standard APIs to enable the authoring and playback of dynamic media on a wide variety of platforms and devices. All Khronos members are able to contribute to the development of Khronos API specifications, are empowered to vote at various stages before public deployment, and are able to accelerate the delivery of their cutting-edge 3D platforms and applications through early access to specification drafts and conformance tests.
