Job Description
Introduction
The Media Processing Division (MPD) within ARM has the mission to be at the forefront of advanced multimedia IP products. The Mali range of Graphics Processors and Video Engines deliver an advanced architecture for hardware acceleration of graphics and video, tuned for low energy consumption and high performance.
Verification of GPUs is a huge and exciting challenge. At ARM, verification is a significant, integral part of any IP development process. For each GPU development the verification activity is planned and executed by a dedicated team of experts who are involved in all stages of the project from methodology definition to design sign-off.
Due to our considerable success to date combined with continuing strong customer interest we need to accelerate the development of our Mali product family. To enable this and also to further strengthen the Division’s engineering team, we are looking for a specialised Hardware Verification Engineer to be a key member of our hardware development team in Cambridge, UK.
Role
We seek a highly motivated verification engineer to join this exciting team, based in Cambridge. The successful candidate will demonstrate specialist skills in complex IP verification, including hands-on experience using state of the art verification tools and techniques for at least one complex IP development project.
The role involves working closely with hardware design engineers and other verification engineers to ensure that all areas of the design are understood and thoroughly verified. For a typical GPU development, this will include both hardware and software verification skills.
